Cabbage bitches, optimist-stairs and spring trends seen at UP
A strong team of industry-leading trend experts, stylists and retail experts are with UP / Formland Upgraded 2nd-5th February in Herning. They provide their views on future trends, among other counts cabbage, khaki, copper and pink and tips to future-proof business.
Anette Eckmann is one of Scandinavia’s strongest when it comes to trends. For February exhibition she is again to create exciting and thought-provoking inspiration on interior fair in Herning. With her company Eckmann Studio she stands behind Area “This Way Up” with particular an “optimist-staircase” with inspiration and new products from exhibitors hall.
– We will be involved to get optimism to germinate UP. There is only one way forward and that is up. The we illustrate with a large staircase in LIVE IT UP hall. The stairs are springing up in the middle of a marketplace in which we ‘ve hand-picked the newest products from the hall exhibitors, says trend expert Annette Eckmann and adds:
– The selected materials and products interprets IP-theme color, it’s pink, douchede, bleached pink tones in the company of copper and khaki. The goal is that visitors will be inspired to create product compositions at home in the shop, which inspires customers to purchase.
Hot food trends
Food has become a trend that reflects our homes, our lives and our lifestyle. It puts UP focus on the DINNER’SUP.
The area also offers visits of trend-cooks among other dessert guru Morten Heiberg and the TV current Cabbage bitches Emilia Weir and Camilla van Norde. The two design students in more than four year struck a blow for cabbage in the kitchen, one of which kålsteg, kale chips, cabbage au vin and kålboller in curry.

In the area of IP / Front stands trend expert Mads Arlien-Søborg in charge of gathering the ultimate in Scandinavian design and gives his take on what UP trend is:
– UP trend is about to see the future with optimism and move out of the comfort zone. Innovation and Creativity is not necessarily an expensive investment. The most important is originality, says Mads Arlien- Søborg, which interprets UP theme and have selected exhibitors in UP / FRONT hall.
